Awesome piece of machinery. The saw performed beautifully. I am convinced that the 8 1/2-inch blade size, reducing flexing, really helps in this regard too. The 15 amp motor easily cut this dense wood and the cuts were clean and perfectly square. I have never gotten wrist fatigue from this saw, even after long days of hundreds of cuts, and I am convinced it is due to the excellent handle design. I bought the DEWALT DW712 8-1/2-Inch Miter Saw for finer work, and I am currently using it to cut face frames for cabinets I am building. It stays squire for a long time about once a year our lace in re square the saw it is a fast saw to re-square. I find that if I plunge the saw away from the board, then push it through slowly, tear out is virtually eliminated, and with an 80-tooth blade the cuts are glass-smooth.
