I found it worthwhile to buy a good quality saw, as it appears the Dewalt will continue to perform for many years to come. The blade is easy to change and the saw is powerful enough to cut through various hardwoods. It cut nice striate, clean cuts. For the novice user, you can save money by buying a non-compound saw since crown molding can be cut in a vertical position without compound cut. Even though I was just using this to put a floor in my sunroom, I thought the saw was easy to use, safe, and accurate. I am still getting used to all the features as I am used to using a much simpler saw. Great saw and the stock blade is not half bad either. I am very pleased with the DEWALT DW716 12-Inch Compound Miter Saw and would recommend it to anyone.
